The 2003 LSU Tigers football team represented Louisiana State Universitymarker in the college football season of 2003-2004. Coached by Nick Saban, the Tigers played their home games at Tiger Stadiummarker in Baton Rouge, Louisianamarker. LSU won the BCS National Championship, the first national championship for LSU since 1958. The Tigers cruised to an 11-1 regular season record and then defeated Georgia in the SEC Championship Game to secure their spot in the Sugar Bowl to play Oklahoma for the national title. In the Magnolia Bowl, LSU beat Ole Miss, 17-14.
