The 2009 FIFA Club World Cup is a football tournament planned for December 2009. It will be the 6th edition of the FIFA Club World Cup and will be hosted by Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Other countries that placed bids were Australia and Japan. Portugal had initially placed a bid, but later withdrew from the process.
