The 53rd Street Tunnel carries the IND Queens Boulevard Line (currently the and trains) of the New York City Subway under the East Rivermarker and Roosevelt Islandmarker between Manhattanmarker and Queensmarker, New York Citymarker.

The tunnel begins under 53rd Streetmarker in Manhattan and runs under the East River to 50th Avenue in Queens. Although it passes under Roosevelt Island, there is no station stop in this tunnel. It carries the Queens Boulevard Line, feeding from the IND Eighth Avenue and Sixth Avenue lines, to Long Island City, where it meets trains from the BMT 60th Street Tunnel Connection and the IND Crosstown Line west of Queens Plazamarker station.

Prior to the completion of the 63rd Street-Queens Boulevard Connection on December 16, 2001, the and trains traveled through the 53rd Street Tunnel.
