The A58 is a major road in northern Englandmarker that runs between Prescotmarker, Merseyside and Wetherbymarker, West Yorkshire.

It runs north east from Prescotmarker on the outskirts of Liverpoolmarker via St Helensmarker, Ashton-in-Makerfieldmarker, Hindleymarker, Westhoughtonmarker, Boltonmarker, Burymarker, Heywoodmarker, Rochdalemarker and Littleboroughmarker then over the Pennines into West Yorkshire.

The road then goes through Rippondenmarker, Sowerby Bridgemarker to Halifaxmarker and onwards to Leedsmarker via the villages of Hipperholmemarker, Birkenshawmarker and Drighlingtonmarker. It runs through Leeds as the A58 motorway (part of the Leeds Inner Ring Road), then north-east through Scarcroftmarker, Bardseymarker and Collinghammarker to its terminus at Wetherbymarker.

The original route between Leedsmarker and Wetherbymarker partially bypasses its original route, diverting from Roundhay Road/ Wetherby Road, at the Fforde Green in Harehillsmarker, where it runs along the Easterly Road dual carriageway passing Oakwoodmarker and Giptonmarker. The re-routed A58 meets its original route at Boggart Hill in Seacroftmarker. The re-routed section was constructed in the 1930s and had a branch of the Leeds Tramway running along the central reservation until the 1950s. The proposed Leeds Supertram was also to run this route.
