ABW is the Australian Broadcasting Corporationmarker's television station in Perthmarker, Western Australiamarker. The station began broadcasting on 7 May 1960 from studios are in East Perthmarker and its transmitter is at Bickleymarker. The station is relayed throughout the state by a number of transmitters as well as on the Optus Aurora free-to-view satellite television platform.

2005 saw the station move from the Adelaide Terrace studios to a new digital broadcast centre in East Perth.

Local programming

The nightly 7pm state news bulletin ABC News Western Australia is presented by Karina Carvalho on weeknights and Craig Smart on weekends. Russell Woolf presents state weather forecasts on weeknights and Trevor Jenkins presents local sport bulletins on Saturdays and Sundays. The weeknight bulletins also incorporates a national finance segement presented by Alan Kohler in Melbourne.

The Western Australian edition of Stateline is presented by Frances Bell.

ABW also carries live coverage of West Australian Football League matches every Saturday afternoon throughout the season.
