Abel Huntington (February 21, 1777 – May 18, 1858) was a U.S. Representative from New Yorkmarker.

Born in Norwich, Connecticutmarker, Huntington received a liberal schooling. He moved to East Hamptonmarker, Long Island, New Yorkmarker, where he practiced medicine. He served as member of the New York State Senate in 1822, and as Supervisor of East Hampton 1829–1832 and in 1844.

Huntington was elected as a Jacksonian to the Twenty-third and Twenty-fourth Congresses (March 4, 1833 – March 3, 1837). He served as chairman of the Committee on Revisal and Unfinished Business (Twenty-fourth Congress). He served as member of the State constitutional convention in 1846. He served as collector of customs at Sag Harbor, New Yorkmarker from 1845 to 1849.

Huntington died in East Hampton, May 18, 1858. He was interred in South End Cemetery.
