"Age Ain't Nothing But a Number" is a song by Americanmarker singer Aaliyah, written and produced by R. Kelly for her debut album of the same name (1994). Its lyrics tell the story of a girl wanting to date an older boy, saying that their ages don't matter. The single was recorded on May 5, 1993

It was released as the third single from the album and became her first single in the U.S. to miss the top spot, peaking at number 75 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number 32 on the UK Singles Chart. Its music video was directed by Millicent Shelton and released in early 1995.
