
Akira Amari, 2007
(born August 27, 1948) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party and a member of the lower house. He was the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry from 2006 to 2008 and is currently Minister of State in charge of Administrative Reform.
He is a native of
Atsugi,
Kanagawa.
He is also a member of the
Japan-Korea
Parliamentarians' Union and the
Japan-China
Friendship Parliamentarians' Union.
In the Cabinet of Prime Minister Taro Aso, appointed on 24
September 2008, Amari was appointed as Minister of State in charge
of Administrative Reform.
Life
He graduated from a Prefecture senior high school in Atsugi.
In 1972,
he graduated from the Keio University
law school.
