Alfred Pfaff (16 July 1926 – 27 December 2008) was a German football player and World Cup winner with West Germanymarker in 1954.

Life

Pfaff was capped seven times between 1953 and 1956 for the West German national team, scoring two goals.

The highlight of his career was winning the 1954 World Cup in Switzerlandmarker. Pfaff had an appearance in the preliminary round against Hungary (3–8) and scored a goal in the 26th minute.

His club was Eintracht Frankfurt with whom he won the 1959 German Championship, and in 1960 reached the finals of Champion's Cup against Real Madrid. Don Alfredo was the head of the team.

Besides his sports career, Pfaff was an innkeeper and had a bar near the Hauptwache in Frankfurt. Since the 1960s, he lived as a barkeeper and hotel keeper in Zittenfeldenmarker in Morretal, Odenwaldmarker).
