Ambrose Williams Clark (February 19, 1810October 13, 1887) was a U.S. Representative from New Yorkmarker during the American Civil War.

Born near Cooperstown, New Yorkmarker, Clark attended the public schools. He was publisher of the Otsego Journal 1831-1836, of the Northern Journal in Lewis Countymarker 1836-1844, and of the Northern New York Journal at Watertownmarker 1844-1860. He served as Surrogate for five years.

Clark was elected as a Republican to the Thirty-seventh and Thirty-eighth Congresses (March 4, 1861-March 3, 1865). He was appointed consul at Valparaiso, Chilemarker by President Lincoln and served from 1865 to 1869. He acted as Charge D'Affaires in Chilemarker in the absence of the Minister in 1869. He died in Watertown, New Yorkmarker, October 13, 1887. He was interred in Brookside Cemetery.
