Ana Maria Lombo (born May 8, 1978), is an American-Colombian singer/songwriter and dancer best known for her work as one of the lead vocalists for Eden's Crush.

Early life

Lombo was born in Medellin, Colombiamarker to a Colombian father and an American mother. She grew up in a musical family traveling all over Latin America with father Sergio Lombo, mother Deborah Pelant, and sisters Shalom and Felicia. She began her life as a performer singing with her sisters as the Happy Hearts and later on Pazport.

Recording career

Popstars and Eden's Crush

In 2001, Lombo competed in the premiere season of The WB's television show Popstars, on which she earned a spot in the all-girl pop group Eden's Crush. The group's 2001 single "Get Over Yourself" peaked at #1 in sales and hit the top five on Billboard Hot 100. "Love This Way" was the second single chosen from the Popstars album; however, their record company, London-Sire Records, folded and the group eventually disbanded.

The Pussycat Dolls

In December 2003, Ana Maria brought her sister Shalom with her to Hollywoodland to audition for Ron Fair as a sister act. Ron fell in love with the project and immediately signed it on the spot to A&M Records. Ana Maria also invited Nicole Scherzinger to audition for the Pussycat Dolls and taught her the dance choreography.

Current project

As of late 2007, Lombo was working in a solo album produced and composed by Grammy Award-winning violinist L. Shankar.
