"And Then We Kiss" is a song by American pop singer Britney Spears on her 2005 remix album, B in the Mix: The Remixes. It was composed by Britney Spears, Paul Barry, and Mark Taylor. A Junkie XL-produced remix was released on B in the Mix: The Remixes and was used in the advertising campaign for Spears's Elizabeth Arden fragrance Fantasy.

Single information

The song was released as a promotional single in Europe, Russiamarker, Japanmarker, Australia, Canadamarker and Americamarker, where it peaked at number fifteen on the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart. MTV News and Billboard magazine attributed the single's lack of airplay to the minimal promotion of B in the Mix: The Remixes by Spears's label, Jive Records.

To date, the original version of the song hasn't been released to public. The standard version of the song was supposedly, set to be included on the Chaotic EP, but it was taken out before the EP was released.

Critical reception

Rolling Stone commented that "And Then We Kiss" "brings a simpatico blend of symphonic strings and dance-rock guitars." MTV News wrote:

Release

In November 2005, "And Then We Kiss" was released to radio stations and a vinyl was released in North America, and received little airplay. In December 2005, "And Then We Kiss" was released to radio stations worldwide, and was featured only on the European edition of Key Cuts from Remixed which was for promotion of B in the Mix: The Remixes. "And Then We Kiss" was then released as single worldwide in late December in digital download format only. The original release of the one track CD single was canceled. Almost a year later in 2006 it was released as a digital EP single worldwide. Then finally, it was officially released in North America as a promo single in July 2007. The original CD single artwork can be viewed when the 2007 promo is inserted into the computer.
