North American area code 707 is a Californiamarker telephone area code which covers Napamarker, Sebastopolmarker, Vallejomarker, Beniciamarker, Fairfieldmarker, Santa Rosamarker, Petalumamarker, Fort Braggmarker, Crescent Citymarker, Eurekamarker, Clearlakemarker, Vacavillemarker, Ukiahmarker, and northwestern California. It was split from area code 415marker on March 1, 1959. It has retained the same coverage area since then, making it by far the longest-lasting area code in California.

When area code 916marker split into area code 530marker on November 1, 1997, the Dixonmarker area moved from area code 916 to 707 and also from the Sacramento LATA into the San Francisco LATA.
