Arun is a local government district in West Sussexmarker, Englandmarker. The district is named for the River Arunmarker. Its main towns are Littlehamptonmarker, Bognor Regismarker and Arundelmarker. It was formed on 1 April 1974 from Littlehamptonmarker and Bognor Regismarker urban districts, the borough of Arundelmarker, and parts of Worthingmarker rural district and Chichestermarker rural districts. In 2008 Arun won an Ashden Award for their work on energy efficiency.
