Bedlingtonshire is an area in north east Englandmarker, consisting solely of the parish of Bedlingtonmarker. It was an urban district in the county of Northumberlandmarker from 1894. Between 1 April 1974 and 31 March 2009, it formed part of the Wansbeckmarker local government district.

It was traditionally considered to be an exclave of Durham after anciently being purchased for the Bishopric of Lindisfarne between 900 and 915, but became part of the jurisdiction of Northumberlandmarker in 1844 under the Counties Act 1844.
