Bermersheim vor der Höhe is
an Ortsgemeinde – a municipality belonging to a
Verbandsgemeinde, a kind
of collective municipality found only in this state – in the
Alzey-Worms district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
As a winegrowing
centre, Bermersheim vor
der Höhe lies in Germany’s biggest winegrowing district, in the
middle of Rhenish Hesse
. It belongs to the
Alzey-Land, whose seat is in Alzey.
Bermersheim vor der Höhe had its first documentary mention on the
occasion of an estate’s sale to Lorsch Abbey.
The epithet vor der Höhe

borne since 1 April 1971.
