The Cardinal Gibbons School is a Catholic school for boys, grades 8-12 in Baltimore, Marylandmarker. The Cardinal Gibbons School occupies the campus of the former St. Mary's Industrial School for Boys in the City of Baltimore which was opened by the Archdiocese of Baltimore in 1866. It closed in June 1950. St. Mary's most notable student was George Herman "Babe" Ruth. The baseball field Babe Ruth played on while attending St. Mary's is still in use today, "If Yankee Stadium is the house Ruth built, then St. Mary's is the house that built Ruth,".
