Haywood Chris Owens (born March 1 1979) is an Americanmarker professional basketball player, presently with the Ukrainianmarker team BC Donetsk. He is a 6'7" (2.01 m) and 245 lbs (111 kg) forward.

Owens was born in Akron, Ohiomarker. He played collegiately at Tulane Universitymarker and the University of Texasmarker. He was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2nd round of the 2002 NBA Draft but traded to the Memphis Grizzlies for whom he played one game.

Chris Owens is the great-nephew of 1930s African-American track and field star, Jesse Owens, who won four gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. Chris Owens played professionally in Berlin with ALBA Berlin.
