Consul is a small village located in the Rural Municipality of Reno No.marker 51marker in the extreme southwest of Saskatchewanmarker, Canadamarker along the Redcoat Trail. It features one of the last existing grain elevators in the region and basic amenities including a grocery store, bank, postal outlet, and school.

Population

Approximately 100 people reside in the immediate town with up to 700 residing in the outlying areas. Agriculture is the top employment field with many surrounding farms and ranches.

Consul School is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 facility serving approximately 80 students in the extreme southwest of Saskatchewan. That is apart of the Chinook School Division which includes most of the southwest corner of Saskatchewan.[340837]Despite it's small size of is an extremely well run school.There are 10 Teachers 2 Teachers Aids and two Office Managers. The students there all maintain a high academic average and a very physically active with all of the sports like cross country, volleyball, golf, curling badminton, badminton and Track & Field. They also have many other programs available not through the school. With many subject offered right at the school and many more through correspondence.
