Darrell "Dr. Victory" Mudra (born January 14, 1929) was an American football coach who coached for several college and professional teams, and won 2 national championships. Mudra is a native of Omaha, Nebraskamarker.

Career



Mudra may be remembered better for his unorthodox coaching style. Through out his days as a head coach, Mudra worked from the press box while a game was being played rather the sideline as most coaches do.

Adams State

Coach Mudra was the ninth head college football coach for the Adams State College Grizzlies located in Alamosa, Coloradomarker and he held that position for four seasons, from 1959 until 1962.His coaching record at Adams State was 32 wins, 4 losses, and 1 tie. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks himfourth at Adams State in total wins and second at Adams State in winning percentage (0.878).
