David Giammarco is a Canadian-born television personality, actor, journalist, and author of the best-selling book "For Your Eyes Only: Behind The Scenes of the James Bond Films". Giammarco was born in Toronto, spent his summers in Southern California and attended school in Canada. He studied drama and filmmaking at York University.

Giammarco got his start as an entertainment reporter at 14 years old writing celebrity feature interviews for The Toronto Sun and hosting his own radio show. He has written for North American and International publications, including Cigar Aficionado, Playboy, Hello Magazine, The Times of London, The Globe & Mail, ELLE Magazine, The Toronto Star, The National Post, The Miami Herald, The Financial Post, Ocean Drive, The Sydney Times, The Sunday Telegraph, The Sunday Express, MovieMaker Magazine, and The Hollywood Reporter.

Giammarco has travelled internationally. The National Archives in Washington requested his investigation and reporting on the secret history of the Cold War be included in the historical collection of U.S. Record.

In 2002, Giammarco wrote "For Your Eyes Only: Behind The Scenes of the James Bond Films" (ECW Press), a comprehensive account of the James Bond legacy from participants. In 2003, Giammarco joined the TV show "eTalk Daily" as Senior Entertainment Reporter and Host, broadcast nationally on CTV and MTV as "e2" and "MTV Screen". Giammarco brought to eTalk celebrity interviews and world exclusives. His Hollywood coverage included national news channel "CTV NewsNet" as well as CTV morning show "Canada AM".

Giammarco has appeared at Hollywood premieres, the Academy Awards, the Grammy Awards, the Emmy Awards, the American Music Awards, the MTV Awards and Royal Premieres in London.

In 2005, Giammarco was exclusively invited on a world tour by Tom Cruise and director Steven Spielberg for War of the Worlds, with stops across such countries as Italy, France, Spain, England, Germany, Japan, America, and Mexico.

Once again Tom Cruise and Giammarco, along with director J.J. Abrams, repeated a similar flight plan around the globe for the exclusive world tour of Mission: Impossible 3 in 2006.

Giammarco was in the 2008 political comedy Swing Vote, where he appeared alongside Kevin Costner, Kelsey Grammer, Dennis Hopper, and Nathan Lane. The film, produced by Kevin Costner, was shot on location in New Mexicomarker and released by Touchstone Pictures. Later that year, Giammarco featured in the Ian Fleming docudrama "True Bond", which was broadcast worldwide and coincided with the release of the 22nd James Bond film Quantum of Solace.

Giammarco wrote the special James Bond edition of the November/December 2008 issue of Cigar Aficionado, which featured an extensive 20-page feature on the making of Quantum of Solace from his exclusive interviews on location with Daniel Craig, Gemma Arterton, Olga Kurylenko, Mathieu Amalric, director Marc Forster, and producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. It has Giammarco's in-depth profile of 007 creator Ian Fleming and the 46-year history of the James Bond Films. The Cigar Aficionado James Bond special edition, with Daniel Craig on the cover, became the magazine's biggest-selling issue.
