Doug Zmolek (born November 3, 1970 in Rochestermarker, Minnesotamarker, United Statesmarker) is a retired professional ice hockey defenseman who played in the NHL for eight seasons between 1992 and 2000.

Zmolek graduated from John Marshall High School in 1989. He was drafted 7th overall by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. He played 467 career NHL games, scoring 11 goals and 53 assists for 64 points. Zmolek also registered 905 penalty minutes in his career.

Since retirement, he has supported the Rochester Youth Hockey Association (RYHA) as an advisor and member of the board. He also runs an off-season hockey camp, "Top Shelf," in Kasson, MNmarker. Currently, he is head coach of his sons' peewee, squirt, and supermite teams. He is also the president of the Rochester Youth Hockey Association (RYHA). He has three sons who all ,play hockey, and one daughter who is only 3. Riese(12), William(10), Bennett(7), and Ella(3).
