Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), is the new development currently under construction near Al Ruwayyah along the Dubai-Al Ain Road in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. DIAC is located within Dubai Academic City, which spreads over an area of 129 million sq ft, and the development is scheduled to be completed by 2012. The project was launched in May 2006 as an area where educational institutions from with Dubai Knowledge Village will move to. The purpose of DIAC is to be a base for schools, colleges and universities. By 2015, Dubai Academic City expects to have 40,000 students.
