Dubai Meydan city is the new developemnt currently under construction in Ras Al Khormarker area of Dubaimarker, UAEmarker.Dubai Meydan city was launched on the eve of the 2007 Dubai World Cup. Meydan City will covers more than 40 million sq ft GFA (gross floor area) on a land size of around 15 million square feet.Dubai Meydan city is expected to be completed in 2012.The development includes, hotels, sky-bubble restaurant, entertainment clubs, a concourse plaza, towers and a boat-house.

Attraction & Entertainment

Meydan Marina

The Meydan Marina will be located at the centre of Meydan City and will be home to around 80 yachts.

Meydan Racecourse

The new Meydan Racecourse will be able to accommodate 60,000 spectators in 1.2 km long grandstand. When not used for races it will serve as a business and conference facility. A horse racing museum and gallery are also planned.The development also includes an 18-hole golf course.The 7.5 million sq. m. Meydan Racecourse includes Meydan Marina, The Meydan, 2 race tracks and the Grandstand, which comprises a hotel, restaurants,and a racing museum.

Horizons

Horizons is a 3.7 million sq. m. residential development that consists of Meydan Gateway Towers, Horseshoe plaza, and Bathhouse Residences. It will also have an 80-berth marina.

Metropolis

Metropolis is a 350,000 sq. m. commercial development that consists of 17 office buildings built on a single pedestrian podium.

Godolphin Parks

Godolphin Parks includes the Godolphin Gateway Tower and a Mall.

Transportation

There area plans to built a tramline which will run from Meydan City to Meydan Racecourse and can carry around 10,000 people every hour. A 4 km canal will serve as a transportation mean, running from Dubai Creekmarker will feature a marina and a boathouse.
