East Staffordshire is a local government district with borough status in Staffordshire in Englandmarker. It has two main towns, Burton upon Trentmarker, famous for its breweries, and Uttoxetermarker, for its racecourse.

Villages in the area are Tutburymarker, Barton-under-Needwoodmarker, Rolleston on Dovemarker, Hanbury, Doveridgemarker.

The borough was formed on April 1, 1974 by the merger of the former county borough of Burton upon Trent with Uttoxeter urban district and Tutbury Rural District and Uttoxeter Rural District.
