Edward Eugene Cox (April 3, 1880 - December 24, 1952) was a U.S. Representative from Georgiamarker.

Born near Camilla, Georgiamarker, Cox attended Camilla High School and Mercer Universitymarker in Macon, Georgiamarker, before graduating from the law department of that university in 1902. The same year, he was admitted to the bar and commenced practice in Camilla, Georgiamarker. In 1904, he was elected mayor of Camilla and held the position for two years.

He served as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1908.

Cox was appointed and subsequently elected judge of the superior court of the Albany circuit and served from 1912 until he resigned in 1916, having become a candidate for Congress. However, he was an unsuccessful candidate for election in 1916 to the Sixty-fifth Congress. It took until 1924, when Cox was finally elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-ninth and to the thirteen succeeding Congresses. From March 4, 1925, until his death in 1952. Cox served as a Congressman. During his time in Congress, he was chairman of the Select Committee on Tax Exempt Foundations in (Eighty-second Congress).

He died in Bethesda, Marylandmarker on December 24, 1952. He was interred in Oakview Cemetery, Camilla, Georgiamarker.
