Forest Heath is a local government district in Suffolk, Englandmarker. Its council is based in Mildenhallmarker. Other towns in the district include Newmarketmarker.

The district's name reflects the fact that it contains parts of both Thetford Forestmarker and the heathlands of Brecklandmarker. The district was formed on 1 April 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, by a merger of the Newmarket urban district and Mildenhall Rural District.

Forest Heath is the home to two of the largest USAF air bases in the UK, RAF Lakenheathmarker and RAF Mildenhallmarker, as well as the headquarters of British horse racing, Newmarket Racecoursemarker.
