Frantic Films Corporation is a Canadianmarker award-winning branded content and live action production company based in Winnipeg, Manitobamarker, Canada. It employs over 30 people primarily in Winnipegmarker. Frantic Films is also known for producing live action reality shows and documentaries, many concerned with Canadian history.

In November 2007, the visual effects and software divisions located in Winnipegmarker, Vancouver, BC and Los Angelesmarker were sold to the Prime Focus Group, and are in the process of integrating into the Prime Focus Group of companies.

The Branded Content division, Frantic Branded Content specializes in creating original integrated entertainment for traditional and emerging media platforms. In 2009, Frantic Branded Content partnered with ad agency TAXI and commercial production company Soft Citizen, to produce the branded entertainment television property 'Commercial Break'.

Frantic Films Software (renamed Prime Focus VFX Technology), produces a range of applications and plug-ins for both in-house and commercial use. Frantic Software's current suite of software includes: Deadline Network Management System, Krakatoa Volumetric Particle Renderer, Awake Suite of Tools for Eyeon Fusion 5, Amaretto rendering plugin for NVIDIA Gelato, and the Flood fluid dynamics suite. The Flood software is a full suite of advanced in-house fluid simulation software including a fluid dynamics simulator, a particle-based slash simulator, and a procedural ocean surface generator. Since its introduction in 2004, Flood was said to be one of the top three fluid simulation tools in the world.

In early 2009, Frantic Films swallowed Red Apple Entertainment whole, enabling rights over Red Apple's entire syndication catalogue and mode of production.
