G. Bikshapathy is a retired justice of High Court of Andhra Pradeshmarker in Indiamarker. He was elevated to the constitutional post as additional Judge of andhra pradeshmarker high court in 1995 and then as judge in 1997 till he retired in 2005.

He is the staunch supporter of weaker sections and extensively dealt with labour and service matters which used to appear in all india journals. He extensively advocated on taking up the cases on behalf of both national and state level trade unions. His several judgements related to constitutional and service matters used to be reported all across the indian journals.

Personal details

G. Bikshapathy Goud was born on May 3, 1943, at Karmanghat village, then district of Hyderabad, now in Andhra Pradeshmarker.

Professional Career

After finishing his diploma in commerce in 1962, he worked for 13 years in various departments of public sector companies. While working, he did his B.Com in evening college. Later, he did L.L.B and then masters in labour laws.

He started working as advocate from 1975 handling extensively labour and service related cases. He was a trusted advocate for handling cases related to trade unions related to state and national levels.

He later, for a short period worked as government pleader in high court of andhra pradeshmarker and was a legal advisor to several undertakings related to private and government.

On May 02, 1995, he was appointed as additional judge of andhra pradeshmarker high court. Later, he was appointed as judge of andhra pradeshmarker high court on January 16, 1997. He retired from the service on attaining the age of superannuation May 03, 2005.

During his stint as a justice, he was the member of international jurists organisation and world jurists organisation. As a member, he participated in several international conferences and labour laws conducted by the Law Asia and International jurists organisations. His judgements on constitutionals and service matters were widely reported injournals all over indiamarker.

Religious Devout

He, being hindu is very religious and used to attend religious and meditation programmes conducted by Brahma Kumaris institutions.

He also headed fact finding committee as a chairman having members namely former justice of high court K.B. Siddappa, formber vice chancellor of Dravidian University Dr.R.Srihari and former vice chancellor of Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyalaya Dr. P. Geervani to investigate the allegations on YSR ,former chief minister of andhra pradeshmarker for hissupport to sell 7000 acres of tirupati temple lands and illegal encroachment by churches and its missionaries.. The committee headed by Bhikshapathy Goud also did investigation on allegations of church carrying evangelical activities on tirupati hillsassociated with hindu community with the support of YSR and his son-in-law Anil Kumar, a brahmin-convert evangelist and preacher. The committee held preliminary sitting on June 17, 2006 at Hyderabadmarker and visited Tirupati on June 21, 2006. The committee conducted public enquiry and subsequently issued public notice in the dailies and in electronicmedia.
