The Great Eastern Railway Class C53, classified as Class J70 by the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) was a class of 0-6-0 tram engines used on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway and the ports of Great Yarmouthmarker and Ipswichmarker from the 1930s to the 1950s. They were designed by James Holden. They replaced earlier GER Class G15 0-4-0 of similar appearance.

No Great Eastern C53's survived, but there are plans to build a replica of a GER C53 Locomotive which will represent the Toby character (see below) for preservation along with a replica of a G15 which preceded the C53.
