Georgetown University Press was founded in 1964 and is a publishing house that currently publishes forty new books a year. Georgetown University Press is a member of the Association of American University Presses (AAUP) and supports the academic mission of Georgetown Universitymarker by publishing scholarly books and journals for a diverse, worldwide readership. These publications, written by an international group of authors, are peer-reviewed works of academic distinction. Georgetown University Press publishes books in five subject areas: bioethics; international affairs & human rights; languages & linguistics; political science, public policy & public management; and religion & ethics. Georgetown University Press is proud to publish Al-Kitaab the most widely used Arabic language learning textbook series at the college and professional level.
