Approaching from the east

Gillingham (Kent) railway station on the Chatham Main Line, serves the town of Gillinghammarker, north Kentmarker, between Chathammarker and Rainhammarker. Train services are provided by Southeastern.

Gillingham station is 35 miles and 1474 yards from London Victoria, according to the mileage sign on the footbridge at the western edge of the platforms.

There are ticket barriers to the main entrance. There is also a side entrance to the station which has no ticket barriers but this is only used when there is a rail replacement bus service.

From December 2009 this station will be served by fast trains to London St Pancrasmarker travelling over High Speed 1 from Ebbsfleet International. The planned off-peak service is two trains per hour and six trains arriving at St Pancras during the peak hours between 07:00 and 09:59.
