.The
name "
Gulshan-e-Iqbal" means: "
the garden of
Iqbal" referring to the national poet of Pakistan,
Muhammad Iqbal.

neighbourhood is home to several ethnic groups including: Urdu speakers, Punjabis,
Sindhis, Kashmiris
, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochs,
Memons, Bohras, Ismailis. Over 99% of the population is
Muslim.
