Guy Fieri ( ; born Guy Ramsay Ferry, January 22, 1968) is a cook, TV personality, winner of the second season of The Next Food Network Star. He co-owns Johnny Garlic's California Pasta Grill in Windsormarker, Rosevillemarker, and Santa Rosamarker, Californiamarker, as well as Tex Wasabi's in Sacramentomarker and Santa Rosamarker. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from UNLVmarker in 1990.

Television

After winning the second season Food Network competition on April 23, 2006, Fieri was awarded a six-episode commitment for his own cooking show on Food Network. Guy's Big Bite premiered on June 25, 2006 and was renewed for a second season that began airing in early 2007. His second series, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, premiered in April, 2007 (a one-hour special aired in November 2006) and sees Fieri traveling the country visiting local eateries. His third series, Ultimate Recipe Showdown, co-hosted with Marc Summers, began airing on February 17, 2008. He appeared with Robert Irvine in Dinner: Impossible in 2007, and has appeared on Paula Deen's Paula's Party as well as Ace of Cakes. His newest show, Guy Off the Hook debuted on Food Network on September 14, 2008.For Thanksgiving 2008, Fieri hosted a one-hour special titled Guy's Family Feast, using the "Guy Off the Hook" set and broadcast live, Friday, November 28, 2008. Guy, played by actor Bobby Moynihan, was eaten by birds in a skit on Saturday Night Live.

As a spokesperson for T.G.I. Friday's (as their "food dude"), Fieri is featured in television commercials for the restaurant.

Signature look

Guy's look includes bleached spikey hair, sunburned face, bowling shirts, "bling", and a wristband worn on his forearm rather than his wrist. Says Guy,

Personal life

Fieri was born in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in Ferndale, Californiamarker (attending Piner High Schoolmarker), the son of James (Jim) and Penelope (Penny) Ferry of Long Island, New Yorkmarker and is of Italian and Irish ancestry. He currently lives in Santa Rosamarker, in northern Californiamarker, with his wife Lori and two sons, Hunter (age 12) and Ryder (age 3). He is also close friends with fellow Next Food Network Star second-season competitor Nathan Lyon. He also shares close friendships with Food Network celebrities Duff Goldman and Tyler Florence. He's an avid car collector and owns a 1968 Pontiac Firebird, 1976 Jeep CJ, 1972 Chevy Chevelle SS454, Corvette C6, a 1990 Chevy Silverado 1500, a Shelby Cobra and a 2008 Lamborghini convertible.

He owns two restaurant chains: Johnny Garlic's and Tex Wasabi's.
