Hackney Wick railway station is on the North London Line and on the boundary between the London Boroughs of Tower Hamletsmarker and Hackneymarker, in East Londonmarker. It is in Travelcard Zone 2. The station and all trains serving it are operated by London Overground. It opened in May 1980 on the re-routed line which bypassed the site of the former Victoria Park stationmarker as part of the CrossTown Link line between and stations.The station on 29 December 1985 was the site of one of the murders of the serial rapists John Duffy and David Mulcahy.

Service

The typical service at the station is 4 trains per hour westbound to Richmondmarker via Hackney, Highbury, Camden Road and Willesden, and 4 trains per hour eastbound to Stratfordmarker.

Until 9 December 2006, when the line from Stratford to North Woolwich was closed to be converted to a Docklands Light Railway line, the eastbound service ran to North Woolwich.
