Hiram Abiff Boaz (1866 – 1962) was an Americanmarker Bishop in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South and The Methodist Church, elected in 1922.

He was educated at Sam Houston Normal Institutemarker and at Southwestern Universitymarker.

Prior to his election to the Episcopacy, he served as president of Polytechnic College and Southern Methodist Universitymarker.

Episcopal Service

Hiram Abiff Boaz was elected to the Episcopacy by the General Conference of the M.E. Church, South in 1922. He was assigned first the work of the Church, South in Japanmarker, Koreamarker and Manchuria. After four years he was assigned to Oklahomamarker and Arkansasmarker for four years. Then Bishop Boaz was assigned to Texasmarker and New Mexicomarker for eight years. He retired at the final General Conference of the Church, South in 1938. In retirement he made his home in Dallasmarker. Bishop Boaz died 2 January 1962 in Dallas.
