Iain McCaig is an internationally renowned and award-winning illustrator and conceptual designer. He was involved in the Star Wars and Harry Potter film projects as well as John Carter of Mars.

After a childhood in the USmarker and Canadamarker, McCaig attended school in Glasgowmarker, and during a break came back to the US and worked on the trailer for the 1983 animated film Twice Upon a Time.

Thereafter, he began a career in print, primarily illustrating books. His film directing debut, The Face, has won four awards and is viewable at atomfilms.

In October of 2008, a book of McCaig's work, entitled Shadowline, was released.
