Imavision was a Canadianmarker home video distributor created in 1995 by Gabor Kertesz and Pierre Paquet.

History

In 1994, Intégral Vidéo ceased its operations after 8 years of operation. One year later, its founders, Gabor Kertesz and Pierre Paquet decided to create a new one, Imavision 21. More than 1 million copies of videos were sold in the first year. Eventually, D.E.P. Distribution decided to help Imavision distribute its videos. In 1998, Imavision 21 becomes Imavision Distribution and moves in Montréalmarker, Québecmarker. (note: Imavision was located in Ville Saint-Laurent before that date). In 2005, the Imavision famous filmstrip logo is changed and turns into a TV with the words «imavision» on it.
