John F. Kennedy High School is a high school located in Bellmoremarker, New Yorkmarker. It is one of three high schools in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District.

The school is open during normal school months. Its newspaper is the Cougar Crier.In local athletics, this school is referred to as Bellmore JFK to avoid confusion with the nearby Plainview JFK.


JFK offers a variety of classes at three levels: Regents/State, Advanced/Honors and AP. Honors classes are weighted by two points in a student's final average, and AP classes are weighted by five points.Examples of courses offered: Regents Biology, AP Government, Italian (to level 5), Sculpture, English 10, Sports Management, Creative Writing, Theater, and Concert Choir. Kennedy High School also offers a unique senior program, known as the Senior Experience Program. The programs runs for the final three week of classes, during which seniors may opt to participate in an internship or community service project.


In 2008 the girls Varsity Volleyball won the Nassau county Championship. Followed by the boys Varsity Volleyball won the Nassau County championship in the Spring of 2009.
