John Lind (1737–1781) was an English barrister, political activist, and pamphleteer who opposed the American Revolution. He was educated at Balliol Collegemarker of Oxfordmarker, receiving an MA in 1761. He also began a long association and friendship with Jeremy Bentham there.

  • 1773, "Letters Concerning the Present State of Poland."
  • 1775, "Remarks on the Principal Acts of the Thirteenth Parliament" defends the Intolerable Acts.
  • 1776, "An answer to the Declaration of the American Congress" attacks the Declaration of Independence.
