Jurek Becker, 1993
Jurek Becker (September 30, 1937, Łódźmarker, Polandmarker -March 14, 1997, Sieseby, Schleswig-Holsteinmarker) was a Polishmarker-born Germanmarker writer, film-author and GDR dissident. His most famous novel is Jacob the Liar, which has been made into two films. He lived in Łódź for about two years and survived the 'ghetto'.
