station was owned by AM Radio 1490, Inc. The station was an
affiliate of
Dial Global's adult
standard format.
KOGN's signal was also simulcasted on nearby
KNFL
1470 kHz in Tremonton, Utah
. The station is now silent.
History

The station was built by pioneer Utah broadcaster Arch Webb in 1947
with call sign KVOG - the "Voice of Ogden" and subsequently changed
to KJQN on
1978-12-01 and changed on
1993-06-28 to KJOE. The radio station was
acquired by the Bible Broadcasting Network from US Bankruptcy Court
in Salt Lake City, UT in 2004. The station went to non-commercial
status and the call sign changed on
1994-05-16 to KYFO. KYFO aired primarily
religious programming. The station was then sold to AM Radio 1490,
Inc in 2005, and changed to the call sign KOGN on
2006-05-01.
On May 29th 2009, The US Bankruptcy Court in Salt Lake City, UT
appointed a receiver to take over KOGN AM. US Capital, Incorporated
of Boulder CO. foreclosed on Legecy Media, the owners of KOGN and
several other stations. At this time the station remains silent
pending liquidation of the company.
