Lake Gogebic is the largest lake of the Upper Peninsula of Michiganmarker. It is located within the 1 million acre (4,000 kmĀ²) Ottawa National Forest. Lake Gogebic State Parkmarker is located along its western shore.

It is in the far western end of the Upper Peninsula, close to the Wisconsin Border, and in parts of two counties, Gogebic Countymarker and Ontonagon Countymarker. The lake is also in two time zones, central and eastern.

Fish species include walleyes, perch, crappies, smallmouth bass, lake herring and northern pike.
