Layne Flack (born May 18 1969 in Rapid City, South Dakotamarker) is an Americanmarker professional poker player, residing in Montanamarker and Nevadamarker.

Flack started playing cards with his grandparents, but became engrossed in the game whilst working at a casino. He would regularly go to another casino after work to play poker. Despite becoming the Night Manager in his job, he quit as he was spending too much time on poker to continue working full-time as well.

He met up with Johnny Chan who helped him improve his game and, following a big loss, encouraged Flack to ensure he had a lot of rest before a tournament. He has also been mentored by Huck Seed.

In 2004, Flack began recreational drug use. His friend, Daniel Negreanu stepped in and paid $60,000 for him to go into rehab. Flack has apparently now recovered from the experience. 1

As of 2008, he has won over $4,200,000 in live tournament play.. His 23 cashes at the WSOP account for $2,318,537 of his live tournament winnings.

World Series of Poker

Flack has made several noticeable finishes at the WSOP, including winning 6 bracelets.

He got the nickname "Back to Back Flack" after winning two consecutive WSOP events in 2002.
