Lees railway station was opened in 1856 at Lees, Greater Manchestermarker as part of the London and North Western Railway route from Oldhammarker to Greenfieldmarker. The station closed in May 1955, when the Delph Donkey passenger train service to Delphmarker via Greenfieldmarker was withdrawn. Not far from the station was Lees Engine Shed which remained open until 1964. The entire route between Oldham and Greenfield was closed shortly afterwards.
