Louis Arthur (Skip) Bafalis, (born Bostonmarker, Suffolk Countymarker, Massachusettsmarker, September 28, 1929) is a retired Americanmarker politician, who served as a Representative from Floridamarker.

Bafalis graduated from Manchester Central High Schoolmarker, Manchester, New Hampshiremarker in 1948 , then attended St. Anselm’s College, Manchester, until 1952. He was in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956 and subsequently worked as an investment banker.

He was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 1964 then served as a member of the Florida state senate from 1966 to 1970. He was an unsuccessful candidate for nomination for Governor of Florida in 1970, then was elected as a Republican to the Ninety-third United States Congress and to the four succeeding congresses (January 3, 1973–January 3, 1983).

He was not a candidate for re-election to the Ninety-eighth Congress in 1982, but was an unsuccessful nominee for Governor of Florida. He then worked as a governmental affairs consultant until running against Porter Goss, before being defeated once more. Bafalis is a resident of Fairfax, VA. He is a partner at the Arlington based government affairs firm Alcalde & Fay.
