Louisiana Literature is a
literary magazine.
Founded in 1984 by
Southeastern
Louisiana University
, it publishes fiction, poetry, and creative
nonfiction quarterly. Its editor, as of October 2009, was
Jack Bedell.
Writer's Digest named
Louisiana
Literature a "Top 50" market for both fiction and poetry in
2008.
Honors and Awards
- Robert Olen Butler's short
story, Heavy Metal, was reprinted in New Stories from
the South 2000.
- Jacob M. Appel's short story, Counting, was
short-listed for the O. Henry Award in 2001.
- R.T. Smith's short story, Tastes Like
Chicken, appeared in New Stories from the South
2006.
