Mark Parry is the former lead guitarist and backing vocalist for the Canadianmarker based indie rock group The Manvils. He Currently resides in Vancouvermarker, Canadamarker.

Mark was born in Walesmarker. He began playing guitar after playing various other instruments. He became an accomplished guitarist and has played with some well known musicians in the UKmarker.

In 2004 he moved to Vancouvermarker and in November of that year sent his rock resume to 'singer/songwriter' Mikey Manville. Alongside Manville, bassist Greg Buhr and original drummer Andrew MacDoogal, The Manvils soon began to play consistently in Vancouver, gaining momentum with some high profile shows.

In May 2005, The Manvils opened for Welsh band Stereophonics and following the show he was asked by Kelly Jones to join them as second guitarist for their world tour.

The Manvils have played along side such artists as Sonic Youth, Ben Harper and The Relentless7, Gomez, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Horror Pops, Suicide Girls, The Bellrays, Metric, De La Soul, Jarvis Cocker, Bif Naked etc.

As of August 2009, Mark Parry left The Manvils.

He is now involved in an exciting new project with two accomplished musicians and former members of The Black Halos; bassist Jahmeel Russell and drummer Rob Zgaljic. The new band is said to have a distinct British Indie Rock sound with an image similar to Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. The band will be recording in early 2010 prior to playing some high profile shows later in the year.


His uncle is David Saul, the former Premier of Bermuda.
