Mathias Leonardo Vidangossy Rebolledo (born May 25, 1987 in Santiagomarker) is a Chileanmarker footballer who currently as a midfielder or forward.

Football career

Vidangossy began his career in the youth squad of Club Deportivo Universidad Cat√≥lica, but finished his football grooming at Uni√≥n Espa√Īola. He made his first division debuts in 2005 and became a constant in the starting lineup.

After those performances at 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, Vidangossy was signed to a five-year contract with Villarreal CF in Spainmarker, joining compatriots Manuel Pellegrini (coach) and Matías Fernández. However, he would never played any official games for the club, as all of the team's foreign player spots were used up. He was quickly loaned out to fellow first division side UD Almeria, but met the same fate.

Vidangossy was subsequently loaned to Chilean club Audax Italiano, which played in the 2008 Libertadores Cup. Afterwards, he stayed in the country, loaned again, now to Corporaci√≥n Deportiva Everton de Vi√Īa del Mar.

On June 23, 2009. Vidangossy has confirmed like new player of √Ďublense. On August 19, 2009 √Ďublense confirmed that they released Vidangossy. On August 31 Vidangossy confirmed that he momentally retired from football.


In 2007, Vidangossy was selected to play for the Chilean U-20 national team in the 2007 South American Youth Championship that took place in Paraguaymarker; there, he netted twice against Bolivia.

Chile went on to qualify for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup that took place in Canadamarker. In the quarterfinals against Nigeria, Vidangossy scored the last goal in a 4-0 extra time. Before scoring in the 122nd minute, he had fallen to the floor with cramps. After netting, Vidangossy fell to the floor in exhaustion, and Chile eventually finished third.
