Matt Landau
Matt Landau (born 1982) is an American writer and entrepreneur known as founder of The Panama Report, one of the first online and print publications with first-hand accounts in the Republic of Panamamarker, Central America.

Originally from New Jersey, Landau graduated from Princeton High School in 2001. He received his bachelor's degree in international economics at the University of Richmond, Virginia in 2005. He founded The Panama Report LLC with Casey Halloran, an entrepreneur from Pennsylvania. The company was subsequently acquired by the news syndicate Media del Mundo Inc.

Landau is the owner of Los Cuatro Tulipanes, a boutique hotel in Panama's UNESCO World Heritage Site of Casco Viejo. Landau is primarily known for his contributions to both companies' online marketing divisions. He is also credited with coining the term 'recession tourism' as low costs of living, accessibility, and friendly immigration laws apply from a tourism perspective to the developing nation of Panama.
